BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A Ferndale dairy farmer is suing Whatcom County and the humane society after an animal neglect case against him was dropped.
The Bellingham Herald reports Seth Snook filed the lawsuit for defamation and 18 other claimed injustices.
Snook’s lawyer said the Whatcom Humane Society made a series of mistakes, including their failure to renew authorization to act as animal control.
Snook said he fell on hard times when his wife had cranial surgery in 2016, but maintains he was not starving his cows and the humane society was wrong to have the cows euthanized or sent off to slaughter.
