FERNDALE, Wash. – A juvenile has been detained for making threats against Ferndale High School.

City of Ferndale spokesman Riley Sweeney says threats of a shooting at the school made on Snapchat were reported Thursday morning.

Ferndale Police were able to identify the Snapchat account and, with assistance from Lummi Police and the FBI, contacted and interviewed two juveniles.

One of them confessed and said it was a hoax.

No weapons were found.

The juvenile was booked into Juvenile Detention for making the threats.
