FERNDALE, Wash. – A Ferndale man ended up in jail after reportedly threatening family members with a box cutter and machete.

Ferndale Police responded to a 9-1-1 call Wednesday from family members who say 23-year-old Rosalio Lawrence Todd tried to stab a family member with a box cutter, assaulted two family members, then threatened the family with a machete.

Todd also threatened to burn down the home.

Officers say Todd fled on foot but was later located by a Bellingham PD K-9 unit called in to assist FPD and Sheriff’s deputies with the search.

Todd was taken into custody without incident and transported to St Joseph’s Hospital for treatment of minor wounds sustained during his flight from police.

He is being held in Whatcom County Jail on $115,000 bond.
