BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The suspect in a recent hit-and-run accident in Bellingham was cited.

John Brady of Ferndale allegedly struck a Bellingham man and his dog while they were walking across a parking lot entrance in the 3200 block of Northwest Avenue on December 20th.

According to Lieutenant Claudia Murphy, Brady was in his truck and accelerated, hitting the pair when they were half-way across the entrance, then drove away.

The victim was not hurt, but Murphy says they heard the dog later died from its injuries.
