WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – A Ferndale man who was helping the driver of a disabled vehicle on Kendall Road was hit by a driver who fled the scene early Sunday.
The State Patrol reports 21-year-old Anton G. Vasilchenko was walking in the 7800 block of Kendall Road just after 1 a.m. when he was hit by the southbound driver.
He was transported to PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center but said on his Facebook page that he was discharged from the hospital Monday.
Troopers don’t have a description of the hit-and-run driver or the vehicle at this time.
