FERNDALE, Wash. — A Ferndale man who was out on bail was arrested Thursday on multiple charges in relation to stolen mail.
41-year-old Justin Florence was a passenger in a white rental truck stopped by sheriff’s deputies on December 31st after they received reports of a person or persons stealing mail in the Zell Road and Woodland Road areas.
The vehicle was impounded for evidence and a search warrant granted.
Over 80 pieces of mail from 31 different addresses, 2 credit cards, blank checks, stolen driver’s licenses and other items involving financial fraud were among the items found in the vehicle.
Florence was booked into Whatcom County jail on charges of forgery, identity theft, mail theft and financial fraud.
He is being held on $200,000 bond.
