FERDALE, Wash., – A man is dead and police are still on the lookout for suspects after a shooting in Ferndale Sunday night, January 23rd.
Ferndale Police were called to a large private gathering at the American Legion building just after midnight.
Officers found the victim, Jose Esquivel Hernandez, lying on the sidewalk outside of the building.
Hernandez was taken to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Witnesses say that Hernandez had gotten into an altercation with another person before several shots were fired.
Investigators add that a smaller white vehicle was seen leaving the area after the shots rang out.
No additional information about the suspects has been released.
