BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A Ferndale man is dead after a motorcycle crash Tuesday evening on southbound I-5.
The State Patrol reports 52-year-old Robert L. Boyles was riding his Harley behind an SUV just after 5:30 near the Meridian Street exit.
When the SUV slowed for traffic, troopers say Boyles hit the SUV and was thrown into the median.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The SUV driver, Travis Tillerson of Sedro-Woolley, was not injured.
Troopers blame the accident on speed and no charges are being filed.
