BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A Ferndale police officer accused of soliciting a minor made his first court appearance.
Whatcom County Jail records show that 46-year-old Michael Scott Langton was transferred from Skagit County custody on Thursday, July 28th.
Langton faces a felony charge of attempting to communicate with a minor.
He was arrested at his home in Blaine on Tuesday night, July 26th, following an investigation.
Jail records show he was released from custody yesterday afternoon, Thursday, July 28th, on $40,000 bond.
