FERNDALE, Wash. — Logan, a German Shepherd puppy from Ferndale who’s become known as the “bucket list” dog because of a heart defect, is resting comfortably after surgery in Colorado Thursday.

But Rescued Hearts Northwest says some bad news came out of the surgery.

The doctor at Colorado State University who performed the surgery found another defect in Logan’s heart and wasn’t able to repair it.

This surgery was meant to buy Logan time until an open heart procedure when he’s six months old.

Rescued Hearts Northwest says for now they’re working to help Logan grow and gain strength.

You can follow Logan’s journey on Rescued Hearts Northwest’s Facebook page.
