FERNDALE, Wash. — Numerous reports are coming in of cougar sightings in northwest Ferndale.
City of Ferndale Communications Officer Riley Sweeney says several people have reported seeing a cougar but law enforcement hasn’t encountered any and no one has been threatened by one.
He says one person reported seeing what they described as a big white cat.
Dave Jones with the Department of Fish and Wildlife says he hasn’t had any recent reports of cougar sightings in Whatcom County.
