FERNDALE, Wash. – Ferndale residents are invited to give input on the school district’s reopening plan.
The Ferndale School District is launching a Reopening Task Force that will create a plan to support student learning while taking into account health and safety directives from the state.
Governor Inslee closed schools in Washington for the remainder of the school year in March due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Superintendent of Public Instruction Chris Reykdal has directed school districts to plan for reopening in the fall and part of the planning process requires public input.
Volunteers are encouraged to join the Task Force, which meets from 5-7 every Tuesday evening starting July 7th.
Applications for volunteering close Thursday, July 2nd.
