FERNDALE, Wash. — The Ferndale School District Levy will no longer be on the ballot this April.

The Ferndale School Board will delay the School Programs and Operations Levy request, likely until the August election.

School Board President Andrew McLaurin says they see this as the right decision for our community while we are in the midst of a public health crisis.

In the mean time, the district will focus on ensuring students have the nutrition they need by providing access to meals while schools are closed.

They are also working on a plan for childcare and online learning opportunities.
