FERNDALE, Wash. — The Ferndale School District is proposing a $112 million bond package this year to not only address critical needs for various schools, but to ask the community again to help build a new high school.

The proposal for a new high school was rejected the last time the district tried to pass a bond package, but the school says the need is still there.

Ferndale High School was originally built in 1910, and various additions have been made since.

The district notes that all Ferndale students end up at FHS, and they want to meet the needs of students as well as provide what they need to grow.
