BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A Ferndale squatter found himself in jail last week after Sheriff’s deputies caught up with him at a different house in Bellingham 5 days after being chased from aFerndale house.
31 year old Skylar Blanc was arrested for residential burglary and possession of stolen property Friday.
Deputies say he was one of multiple squatters in a vacant property being remodeled in the 7000 block of Valley View Rd. in Ferndale that had notes taped on windows reading, “Tested positive for COVID-19.”
After being confronted February 21st, the squatters drove off, but the victim was able to note a vehicle description and license plate number.
Friday, deputies spotted the car at a home in the 4200 block of Curtis Rd. in Bellingham, found Blanc inside, and arrested him.
