FERNDALE, Wash. – A counterfeit goods business is racking up federal trafficking charges for a Ferndale woman.

The US Attorney’s Office in Seattle said that 42-year-old Kara Suneva Allen is accused of reselling thousands of fake designer purses, wallets and jewelry.

Her business, Keepin Up With Kara LLC, operated out of a warehouse in Ferndale.

Allen received the counterfeit merchandise from China and Hong Kong and resold the items well below market value through her website.

Three of the shipments were seized at a postal facility in California in summer of 2021.

Allen’s home and properties were searched last month, and large amounts of counterfeit goods were recovered.

If convicted, Allen faces up to 10 years in prison and a $2 million fine.
