ANACORTES, Wash. — Washington State Ferries advises you to prepare for a busy Thanksgiving Holiday and be patient.
Expect the longest ferry lines heading westbound Wednesday afternoon with an estimated 350,000 travelers using state ferries, then returning eastbound peaking Thursday afternoon.
WSDOT says being a walk-on passenger rather than driving can save time.
To accommodate increased traffic one extra sailing from Anacortes to Orcas Island was added to the schedule for Wednesday at 1:55 PM.
