FERNDALE, Wash. — The Ferndale School District is hosting two assembies at the high school focused on healthy relationships and consent.

The district says the Tuesday morning assemblies will cover the law and legal definitions of consent, Ferndale School District protocol and available resources.

Law enforcement will be in attendance along with representatives from local organizations working to stop domestic violence.

Superintendent Linda Quinn says they want to begin this conversation before students leave for the summer, and they will continue the conversation in the fall.

Counselor support will also be available to students who need it.
