BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A fingerprint led police to the arrest of a man suspected of robbing a downtown convenience store in early September.

Court records state that Mark Gargis is the man who’s suspected of robbing the JJ’s In-and-Out store on Holly Street on September 3rd.

The suspect asked for cigarettes then handed the clerk a note demanding all the store’s money.

The clerk handed over cash as the suspect implied he had a weapon.

Officers couldn’t identify the suspect from surveillance video, but a finger print on the note led investigators to Gargis and they arrested him last Thursday, October 7th.
