CUSTER, Wash. – One person was injured in a fire on Custer School Road early Tuesday.

Assistant Chief Joe Noonchester with North Whatcom Fire and Rescue said the call came in just after 5 a.m.

“There was an RV and a mobile trailer and some vehicles parked close by that all were involved in the fire,” Noonchester said.

The property is at 8181 Custer School Road, near the Birch Bay-Lynden Road.

The injured person suffered smoke inhalation and may have other injuries, Noonchester said.

The fire was put out and fire fighters remained on the scene to put out hot spots.
