Wash. State – Fourth of July fireworks set fire to a family’s home in Mount Vernon this weekend and caused serious damage
No injuries were reported.
The Skagit Valley Herald reports the family, who recently purchased the home, is now displaced.
Damages are expected to exceed $50,000.
And a young man from Marysville has died from injuries he suffered from Fourth of July fireworks.
The Marysville Police Department determined it was an accidental death resulting from the premature explosion of a mortar-style firework.
KIRO-7 News reports paramedics found the 21-year-old unresponsive at the scene and said he had significant upper-body injuries.
He was rushed to the hospital, but did not survive.
