Five more Whatcom County residents confirmed to have COVID-19

BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Five more Whatcom County residents have tested positive for the virus.

The Whatcom County health department is reporting 144 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 8 resulting deaths.

The health department reports 27% of these cases are in those age 80 and over, 17% involve people in their 50s, and 13% involve people in their 40s.

Those under the age of 19 make up just 1% of confirmed cases in Whatcom County.
