FERNDALE, Wash. – A Flood Watch is in effect through Thursday afternoon for the Nooksack River in Whatcom County.
The National Weather Service shows the river will likely crest above flood stage at Cedarville and in Ferndale Wednesday night.
Any flooding looks like it will be minor and should recede within a few days.
The Weather Service also warns that the heavy rain will increase the threat of landslides in our area.
