WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for Whatcom, Skagit and other western Washington Counties.
An atmospheric river has settled in and will remain in place through Wednesday.
Three to five inches of rain is expected in the north Cascades with the snow level rising to 5000 feet.
Heavy rain and snow melt could cause flooding in rivers, creeks, streams, and other flood-prone areas.
The flood watch is in effect until 11 a.m. Thursday.
