There’s a flood watch in effect for Whatcom and Skagit counties from this afternoon at 4 through Saturday afternoon.
A heavy rain system moving in this afternoon could bring 3 inches of rain to low-lying areas and 4 to 6 six inches in the mountains.
In Skagit County, people living in Hamilton, Lyman, Concrete and other flood prone communities should anticipate needing to take action over the weekend.
Please be advised that water over low-lying roadways is likely.
