WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – A flood watch has been issued for the Nooksack and Skagit Rivers.

Around an inch of rain is forecast for western Whatcom and Skagit Counties on Wednesday and Thursday, which forecasters say could push the rivers into a minor flood stage by Friday morning, October 29th.

The rain system moving in is being called a moderate atmospheric river and could bring anywhere from 3 to 5 inches of rain to the North Cascades as well.
