FERNDALE, Wash. — More rain is expected even as Whatcom County is already feeling the effects of the rising river and soggy soil.
A landslide closed Chuckanut Drive near Oyster Dome, Slater Road was cutoff near Ferndale Road and the train tracks, and the County warned residents that dozens of roads are covered by water and debris.
The Department of Transportation hopes to have Chuckanut open Monday.
Ferndale is the most at risk of flooding from the Nooksack River and the National Weather Service has extended the Flood Warning there until late Monday.
