ACME, Wash. — A Coastal Flood Advisory and a Flood Warning for the Nooksack River are both in effect Tuesday.
The National Weather Service says Bellingham and other interior coastal areas are at risk of minor flooding during high tide this morning between 7:00 and 10:00 AM.
Meanwhile, flooding is still expected along the Nooksack River, specifically the south fork at Saxon Bridge south of Acme and the warning extends through Tuesday evening.
Forecasters say widespread flooding could cover surrounding farmland and many roads, even making Highway 9 north of Acme impassable.
