OLYMPIA, Wash. — All the masking, cleaning and distancing has made the flu almost non-existent this season in Washington.
For the period of October 1st of last year through March 6, the state Department of Health reports no flu deaths anywhere in the state.
On average by this point of the season, the state would have seen 114 flu deaths.
Visits to doctors and clinics for flu symptoms are running at roughly one tenth the normal rate as well.
