OLYMPIA, Wash. — Flu season is around the corner and health officials say it’s time to get vaccinated.
The Washington Department of Health says the flu vaccine is now available at most pharmacies and health care providers throughout the state for all ages.
State Health Officer Dr. Kathy Lofy says everyone 6 months old and older should get vaccinated.
241 Washingtonians died from the flu during the last flu season and many more were severely sickened and hospitalized.
Kids 18 and under can get the vaccine at no cost and families who can’t afford any fees from providers can request them to be waived.
