FERNDALE, Wash. — Food-insecure students in Ferndale will soon have increased access to healthy breakfasts and snacks.
The world’s largest organic breakfast cereal company Nature’s Path is teaming up with grassroots community organization Open Hands to hold a “foodraiser” benefiting food-insecure middle schoolers in the Ferndale School District.
On February 3rd at Nature’s Path’s plant in Blaine, team members will be preparing bags of breakfast and snack foods to be distributed to more than 1000 students at Horizon Middle School and Vista Middle School.
The “foodraiser” is a Nature’s Path “Eat Well Do Good” event focused on tackling childhood hunger.
