BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A Bellingham woman was one of three people killed in a plane crash off the coast of Alaska last week.
30-year-old Stacie Rae Morse was a nurse aboard a medical flight bound for the small community of Kake, Alaska to pick up a patient on Tuesday.
The Coast Guard says airplane debris was found near the plane’s last known position and the company that owns the plane says they will try to recover the bodies.
Morse was based in Juneau, Alaska, and is originally from Bellingham where she attended Squalicum High School.
Friends and family held a memorial at Zuanich Park on Friday evening.
