BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A delivery driver is in hot water after stealing hundreds of packages from his delivery route.
Court documents state that an investigator for shipping company Ontrac was asked to look into customer complaints on one of the company’s Bellingham routes back in early 2021.
Customers had been complaining that their packages were either being marked as lost or stolen or were never delivered at all.
The investigator contacted Bellingham Police after finding a van in the 1200 block of Virginia Street that contained hundreds of the undelivered packages.
A check on the van’s license plate led police to former Ontrac delivery driver Ameran Kekutia.
Kekutia was booked and released from the Whatcom County Jail on Friday, April 29th.
