Ken Oplinger, former director of the Bellingham/Whatcom Chamber of Commerce and Industry, had a heart attack yesterday (Monday).
His wife, Diana Stein, says in a Facebook post that he’s resting comfortably but is a bit cranky in a hospital in southern California.
Oplinger has been heading the Chamber of Commerce in the Santa Barbara, California area since leaving Whatcom County.
Stein says he also suffered a heart attack nine years ago.
