FERNDALE, Wash. — Ferndale Police have arrested an assistant Ferndale School District wrestling coach on sexual assault charges.
Last week Ferndale Police received a report of a sexual relationship between a 15-year-old FHS student and a 20-year old adult male that was an assistant wrestling coach who was employed by the Ferndale School District.
Dalton J. Cristelli of Ferndale was booked into Whatcom County Jail this Thursday on charges of third degree child rape, third degree rape, and second degree rape.
Two of those charges against Cristelli stem from separate incidents with teenage girls 3 to 5 years ago.
Cristelli is no longer employed by the Ferndale School District, and there is no indication that any of the incidents occurred on school grounds.
