Golden Tate is back in Washington playing sports, but this time it isn’t football. The West Coast League and Port Angeles Lefties announced that former Seahawk Golden Tate has signed with the team to resume his baseball career.

“I am extremely thankful for the West Coast League and the Port Angeles Lefties for allowing me to join the league” Golden Tate said “Baseball was my first love as a child, I’m excited to get the opportunity to compete against some of the best collegiate players in the country. I look forward to having a lot of fun and exploring baseball more.”

Tate was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2007 but passed on the opportunity so he could pursue his football career. Tate was once again drafted to the MLB in 2010, this time by the San Francisco Giants. He passed on the opportunity to join the MLB once again, and was later drafted in the second round of the NFL Draft by the Seahawks.
