WASHINGTON, D.C. – Former Washington State Senator Don Benton has been working on behalf of the Trump administration in Washington D.C., and reports are he didn’t get along well with his new boss.
Ferndale State Senator Doug Ericksen was part of Benton’s team.
Reid Wilson from The Hill Newspaper says there’s been some conflict between Benton and the new EPA administrator.
Wilson says Benton continued to play a big role in EPA leadership even after new administrator, Scott Pruitt was confirmed.
So, Benton is being reassigned.
He’s been nominated to head up the Selective Service System – the small federal agency that processes paperwork for all 18-to-24-year-old men for a potential military draft.
The U.S. hasn’t held a draft since 1973.
