WASHINGTON STATE (AP) – Former Washington state Governor and Congressman Mike Lowry passed away Monday.
His family says Lowry died from complications related to a stroke.
He was 78.
The Democrat was elected governor in 1992.
He was in Congress until 1989, and then lost two US Senate races before serving one term as governor.
