Former Washington State Senator Don Benton has been working on behalf of the Trump administration in Washington DC – and reports are he didn’t get along well with his new boss.
Reid Wilson from The Hill Newspaper says there’s been some conflict between Benton and the new EPA administrator:
“Don Benton lead the beachhead team into the EPA, and even after the new administrator, Scott Pruitt, was confirmed, Benton played an important role in trying to fashion the agency’s early moves. That really irritated a lot of people, not least of whom was, Scott Pruitt himself.”
So, Benton is being re-assigned.
He’s been nominated to head up the Selective Service System – the small federal agency that processes paperwork for all 18- to 24-year-old men for a potential military draft.
The US hasn’t held a draft since 1973.
