SEATTLE, Wash. — Ferry ridership over the Fourth of July holiday week was down from last year.
Washington State Ferries released ridership data that says there was a drop of about 30,000 ferry riders from the 2018 holiday.
But the agency says they saw year-to-year increases on the Anacortes-San Juan Islands-Sidney B.C. route as well as the Kingston-Edmonds.
Their data shows that most of the ferry riders over the holiday week rode on the Seattle-Bainbridge, followed closely by the Edmonds-Kingston.
Although #4thofJuly week system ridership (947,652 customers) was down from 2018 (977,639 customers), we had year-to-year increases on #Anacortes/#SanJuanIslands/#SidneyBC, #Edmonds/#Kingston & #PointDefiance/#Tahlequah routes! #Seattle/#Bainbridge made up 1/4 of all customers. pic.twitter.com/sCeat45Z0r
