OAK HARBOR, Wash. – A bomb threat at Whidbey Naval Air Station led to a base shelter-in-place order for two hours Friday.

Base public information officer Mike Weldign says the order came at 3pm Friday after the threat was phoned in.

Several buildings where evacuated and inbound traffic to the airfield was halted for two hours while a security perimeter was set.

The all clear was called by 6.
