BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A fundraiser is underway for an agency that helps local Native entrepreneurs gain a foothold to success.
Roy Finkbonner says the Lummi Community Development Financial Institution gave him the loan that made it possible to revive his family’s trucking business.
He says he loves what he does, being a part of all the projects on Lummi and providing for the contractors that come onto the reservation.
The institution has helped many other Lummi business people get started in retail, art, fishing and more.
A GoFundMe page for the LCDFI has been established with the goal of raising $5000 that will be invested back into the community.
