BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The average price of gas has held steady in the Bellingham area for the past month, but prices are expected to decrease as we get into summer.

A report from GasBuddy says Washington is still among the most expensive states, with residents in the Bellingham metro area paying the most at an average $3.54 a gallon, which is almost a dollar more than a year ago.

The national average is $2.89 per gallon.

Gasbuddy’s head of petroleum analysis said we can expect slightly falling gas prices in late June and early July.
