Early goals from Leon Goretzka were more than enough for Germany, as the defending World Cup champs beat Mexico 4-1 Thursday in Semifinal action at the Confederations Cup. The striker scored in the 6th and 8th minute to send Germany into Sunday’s championship final in Russia.

Timo Werner and Amin Younes also scored for Germany in the second half. Marco Fabian’s strike in the 89th minute was the only tally for Mexico.

Germany plays Chile Sunday in St. Petersburg for the Confed Cup Championship. Mexico and Portugal will play earlier that day in Moscow in the 3rd place game.
