BIRCH BAY, Wash. – A teen who nearly died in a Birch Bay swimming pool on Monday passed away Tuesday at a Seattle Hospital.
Whatcom County Sheriff Bill Elfo says the 14-year-old girl was airlifted to Children’s Hospital in Seattle on Monday in critical condition and died Tuesday night.
People at the resort pulled the girl out of the pool and began CPR.
Medics arrived and resuscitated her.
Her name has not been released.
