‘Tis the season of giving and two local organizations are working together to give appliances to families who need them.
Mel Monkelis with Appliance Depot says they’ve been providing job training to mostly young people in our community for over 12 years, and they hope to give away 25 to 30 refurbished appliances this holiday season.
“Giving Neighbors program is $5000 so we can give washers, dryers, stoves and refrigerators to those in the community who need them” says Monkelis.
Monkelis says the Opportunity Council will identify the families that need appliances.
