CONCRETE, Wash. — The Haunted House in Concrete Friday night was a success — until someone stole a brand-new generator, but the story has a happy ending.

The fire department helping with the event received a call from the parts manager at Lifestyles Honda in Mount Vernon.

He had read about the theft on Facebook and said his company would like to donate a new generator to replace the one that was stolen.

The fire department and Concrete High School students were using the haunted house to raise money and would have had to pay for the generator out of their funds had Lifestyles Honda not stepped in.
