OLYMPIA, Wash (AP) – Government agencies will be able to charge fees for electronic copies of records if the governor signs a bill passed by the legislature.

It allows agencies to charge up to ten cents per page for scanned documents and up to five cents for every four electronic attachments when replying to public records requests.

Agencies would also be able to charge up to ten cents per gigabyte of data.
