SEATTLE, Wash. – President Trump has slammed Seattle Mayor and Governor Inslee over the protesters’ take-over of the so-called “Autonomous Zone,” saying in a tweet that if they don’t take it back, “I will.”
Mayor Jenny Durkan fired back at the president in a news conference yesterday saying, “It is unconstitutional and illegal to send military to Seattle. If you don’t believe me you can take the word of a line of highly decorated generals who’ve said so. I’ve spoken with Governor Inslee and together we will assure the people this will not be happening.”
She took a conciliatory tone toward protesters, saying she’s ready to listen to ideas for reforms.
And she says the city hasn’t abandoned residents and businesses in the CHAZ area.
Socialist City Council member Kshama Sawant says the area in Capitol Hill should remain under community control rather than be turned back over to Seattle Police.
Radical Left Governor @JayInslee and the Mayor of Seattle are being taunted and played at a level that our great Country has never seen before. Take back your city NOW. If you don’t do it, I will. This is not a game. These ugly Anarchists must be stopped IMMEDIATELY. MOVE FAST!

The Trump administration knows what Washington needs right now – the resources to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
If the president wants to show leadership, and that he cares about the people in this state, he should send us the PPE we’ve needed for months.
