OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) – Govern Jay Inslee is slamming Congress’ vote to repeal and replace Obamacare.
“In this cavalier and callous indifference to real facts, the House voted on this without an evaluation to know what it was going to do. But we know what it’s going to do. It’s going to kick people off of their health insurance, Republicans and Democrats alike.”
Eight of the state’s House delegation voted against the measure: all six Democrats, and Republicans Jaime Herrera Beutler and Dave Reichert.
Republican Cathy McMorris Rodgers voted for it.
Republican Dan Newhouse was not in DC for the vote.
